I know it's not at all related to animals but I had to show you this pic! I am nearly on the steps of the famous house that was seen by millions in "Mrs. Doubtfire" with Robin Williams. I could not believe it. I have to admit I was completely star struck. The house is a lot smaller than it looks like in the movie. Wow...I am such a tourist!
Sea Lions in the city!
Down near Fisherman's Wharf a colony of California Sea Lions gathered on nearby docks and rock islands. They sure know how to draw a crowd! These inquisitive creatures are easy to distinguish from seals because they have ears and are extremely vocal. You can hear their famous "bark" all the way down Fisherman's Wharf!
Bay Bridge
Our journey into the San Francisco started by crossing the Bay Bridge. I could not believe that there was traffic at 3:00 in the afternoon on a Saturday..who would have known?
Look at the view!
Right now I am currently relaxing in California sunshine! Take a look at how pretty this view is from our porch. We are planning on going into the city later on this afternoon. I promise to take tons of pictures. Although right now we are kind of in a bind… We do not know whether to visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium tomorrow or visit Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Both have animals and are accredited by the AZA (Association of Zoos and Aquariums) which means they are among the select few animal parks in the nation that comply to top-notch standards when it comes to taking care of animals. We only have time to visit one. Any thoughts?
Sent from home!!!
It looks like "Tinkerbelle" is enjoying the nice weather back at home! Even though it is nice having a break from cleaning enclosures I sure do miss my animals while I'm gone!
