Happy Sunday

Happy Sunday everyone!

We arrived in St. Louis yesterday at around 5:27pm. I owe a lot of thanks to "Alicia" my GPS who guided us the whole way. I have been to St. Louis before so I knew what to expect. Let me tell you...It is strange being in a place like San Francisco then only days later being here. Different everything. As for wildlife, on our way into the city we saw A LOT of wild turkeys. That was a first. It reminded me of my pet turkey back home named "Tina." A lot people do not know that I have a pet turkey (FYI: makes for a great conversation piece)! I received her for my 18th birthday. She has a very timid personality but believe it or not, she is actually trained to head back into her pen by the sound of my clap! Gotta love it!

Open for business???

Again, I know it's not animal related but I wanted to share how hard it was to find gas in Wyoming! This poor station hasn't seen a customer since the 1950's!

Pronghorn Antelope

On the road I was on the look  out for native Wyoming wildlife. Lets just say Wyoming did not disappoint me! We saw hundreds of Pronghorn Antelope grazing on the grasses just off the freeway. Both male and female antelope have horns (although the males horns are bigger).

Yes, that's me hanging from the Wyoming sign off the freeway on our way to St. Louis! What a jump! We spent the majority of our day driving through Wyoming. I can explain Wyoming in three words: dry, flat, and windy! I still really enjoy the state and am glad that there was no snow! Wohoo!

When most people picture spring break, they think of palm trees, the warm sun, and their feet in the sand. That would be the complete opposite of what I’m doing! I know it was just days ago we arrived back home from San Francisco…but I have just found out last minute that we will be traveling to St. Louis, Missouri! Family is what brings us to St. Louis on this journey…and yes we will be traveling by truck! I’m excited to see family…don’t get me wrong but I CANNOT wait to see Missouri’s native wildlife! I might even stop in and say hi to my friends at the St. Louis Zoo! Who knows? As always, I promise to keep all of you updated with pictures of our adventure! Wish us luck on the road and for all of you who are going somewhere tropical wear SUNSCREEN!
