This week we discuss one of the most maligned animals in North America, the coyote. I speak with Keli Hendricks, the Ranching with Wildlife Coordinator for Project Coyote. Project Coyote is a national non-profit organization based in Northern California whose mission is to promote compassionate conservation and coexistence between people and wildlife through education, science and advocacy. In the interview, we discuss coyotes, dispel common misconceptions, how to coexist with them, and address recent news about coyotes attacking people in Vancouver.

Episode #18: Wildlife Rescue

deeer.jpg

In this episode, I sit down with my good friend and one of the hardest working people in wildlife rescue, Mady Rothchild. She runs Animals In Distress, a native wildlife rescue based in Boise, Idaho. We discuss her rescue work with bats, badgers, beavers, birds, fawns, foxes, coyotes, raccoons, skunks, squirrels, and cougar kittens. She also gives advice to anyone looking to start or work at a wildlife rescue. For more information, please visit:  http://idahowildliferescue.org
