Episode #87: The "Big Bad Wolf"

wolf eyes.jpg

For well over a millennia, wolves have been depicted as ferocious, blood thirsty, monsters. In reality, wolves are intelligent animals that are much more similar to us than once thought. They are also a vital part of the ecosystem that keep prey populations healthy and in check.

In this episode, I interview carnivore biologist, Aspen. She’s the founder of POUNCE Conservation, an organization that uses research, science, and compromise to save America’s wolves. We discuss a variety of different topics including wolf predation on livestock, “surplus killing”, elk fatalities, and wolf hunting.
